Piccolo Derthona Timorasso Colli Tortonesi DOC 2025 Tappo a Vite di Vigneti Massa is the younger and more immediate face of Walter Massa’s Timorasso, a variety the producer helped revive and promote. It comes from the Marchesa, Boscogrosso, and Moronata vineyards, on limestone soil, and is vinified as a white wine with six months of aging in stainless steel. The result is a direct, crystalline, and easy-drinking wine, designed to highlight the fresher side of the grape variety. The nose evokes wildflowers and orange peel, while the palate is linear, crisp, and smooth, with a lovely saline finish. The screw cap emphasizes its modern vocation. A supple and highly readable Derthona, but far from banal.
